Foodpanda Singapore - Please use GrabFood or Deliveroo instead
I pre-ordered my food for 7:30pm at 5:45pm. Since they know my order ahead of time they should be able to meet the delivery time right?
Nope. In the end the food was picked up at 7:26pm. At 7:40pm, I contacted the customer service and they ignored whatever I said, used their standard responses and told me my food would arrive at 7:52pm (SPOILER ALERT: It didn't). I had ordered as cash on delivery and I told them I wanted to cancel my order.
They refused. I told them that my order was cash on delivery and I would refuse to pay, making FoodPanda absorb the cost. On this, the rep said FoodPanda wouldn't absorb the cost and would bar me from ordering again. I'm quite livid because their policy is to force me to deal with their rider directly - if I don't pay, who will absorb the cost?
Clearly it wouldn't be the corporation... so then the rider?
That's so unethical. Poor customer service, poor ethical policies, poor service.
